Nancy Ann Mote, 77, of Big Stone Gap, VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 17th, 2020.
Nancy was born in Kingsport, TN in 1942. She was a graduate of Gate City High School. After school she worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for many years. In her spare time she loved animals and bird watching (her favorite being the cardinal). After she retired she loved to spoil her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Jonesville First United Methodist Church and loved her Savior. She was a very caring and loving soul who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nannie MacMurry; brother, Harold MacMurry, James MacMurry; and sister, Marline MacMurry.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Robin Travis and husband Boyd; grandchildren, Sarah and Faith Travis; great grandchild, Maverick Travis; son-in-law’s father, James “Jim” Travis and wife Ada (Jonesville, VA).
