Patricia Joyce Sturgill, 62, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday (March 25, 2015). She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Pat loved her flowers, feeding the birds, socializing, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Carson Sturgill & Lois Duncan; brother, Larry Dean Sturgill; and special aunt, Ruth Hopkins.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy Sturgill Turnbull and husband Jimmy of Goose Creek, SC; two granddaughters, Jillian & Rainee Summey of Goose Creek, SC; four brothers, Norman, M.L. & friend Rita Williams, James Carol & wife Patsy, and Jerry Lee Sturgill & wife Debbie; four nieces, Christy Smith, Pam Moore, Vicky Morton, & Sherry Hall; five nephews, Jason Baumgartner, Dennis Frazier, Tony Frazier, Brandon Richards, & Waylon Sturgill; special cousin, Peggy Baumgartner of Smyrna, GA; and special friend, Nina.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday (March 28, 2015) at noon at Shades of Grace United Methodist Church (313 E. Sullivan Street Kingsport) with Pastor Will Shewey officiating.
