She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Wallen; and brother, Calvin Wayne (Junior) Wallen.

She is survived by her father, Calvin Wayne Wallen, of Mt. Holly, NC; brother, Michael Ralph Wallen, of Mt. Holly, NC; two nieces, Jennifer Leanne Wallen and Ashley Danielle Wallen; nephew, Michael Anthony Wallen; sister-in-law, Lori Wallen; husband, Marvin Simpson; special friends, Trish Mclain, Debbie Gossnell, and Tammy Matthews; and a host of friends and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday (July 29, 2015) from 5 to 7 pm at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow with Pastors Oscar Irwin and Bob Simpson officiating. Committal services will be held on Thursday (July 30, 2015) at Poplar Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (744 Poplar Grove Rd. Kingsport) at 11:30 am. Those wishing to go in procession are asked to meet at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home at 11 am.

Pallbearers will be Jack Allen Hyatt, Jeffrey Hyatt, James Hyatt, Lonnie Dykes, Jim Moore, and Rick Matthews. Honorary pallbearers will be Levon Matthews, Thurston Matthews, and Kenneth Sensabaugh.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Poplar Grove Primitive Baptist Church (744 Poplar Grove Rd. Kingsport).
