Betty Doris Roberts, 76, received her wings on Sunday (June 21, 2015). Born February 19, 1939 in Kingsport, she left this world to enter into the presence of her heavenly Father surrounded by those who loved her. Bettie was a dedicated member of Sloan Town Baptist Church. She enjoyed the gospel, singing hymns, and sharing the word of God. Bettie always taught her Grandchildren the importance of our Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, family time, and above all, the Braves, never missing a game.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Nina Carter; and her oldest son, Jeffrey Edward Roberts.
She leaves behind one son, Steven Ray Roberts, to cherish her memory; five grandchildren; Heather Lewis, Kristan Petit, Marissa Roberts, Jessican Roberts & Christopher Tipton; ten great-grandchildren, Tegan Lewis, Logen Lewis, Jaxon Lewis, Olivia Huskey, Bailey Roberts, Ashton Petit, Gabriel Hopf, Braylon Petit, Camden Petit & Raylon Roberts.
A graveside service will be held at Carter Cemetery (1112 BeBe Branch LN Duffield) on Wednesday (June 24, 2015) at 2:00 p.m. with Brent Carter officiating.
