Michael Dean Lowe

April 08, 1955 - April 07, 2020

Michael Dean “Mike” Lowe, age 64, passed away April 7th, 2020 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center’s Community Living Center after a brave fight against lung cancer. Mr. Lowe was a native of Washington County TN, and graduated from David Crockett High School.

Mr. Lowe proudly served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Caloosahatchie. He retired as an over-the-road trucker after 32 years. He was also a former member of the Jonesborogh Rescue Squad, and a member of VFW #9724 in Jonesborough.

Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Dean and Edna Luella Murr Lowe; and his wife Teresa Frazier Lowe.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Stevie (Krista) Lowe of Limestone; grandsons, Jacob and Andrew Lowe of Limestone; sister Brenda (Keith) Reece of Jonesborough; the mother of his son, Joyce Ann Hartsell Lowe; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Melody Rodgers and the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, especially the employees, nurses, and Chaplain Kevin Holmes of the Community Living Center Hospice Wing Hall 100 for their loving care and attention to Mike, and also to Donnie and Vickie Pate for their prayers and support.

A private graveside service with full military honors at Mountain Home National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
