Reverend Joseph Larry Guy, 67, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 12, 2016.
Larry Guy was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family and he loved serving the Lord. He was of the Pentecostal faith for over 45 years. Larry was a great provider and he worked for the Sullivan County School’s maintenance department for over 28 years. He will be forever missed, but will always be in our hearts. His family will love him forever and always.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lula Belle Guy; daughter, Jessica Allison Guy; brothers, Lester and Luther; and sisters, Linda Patrick, Anna Faye and Margaret.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lois DeLancey Guy; son, Michael Guy and wife Tobie; daughters, Hope Guy Reynolds and husband Tim, Lisa Guy Christian, Linda Guy Crawford and fiancé Chris Necessary and Rebecca Guy Fields and fiancé Julie Phillips; grandchildren, Brandon Derrick, Amanda Reynolds Vanatta, Hunter Fields, Sarah Guy, Michael Guy and Quentin Fields; step grandchildren, Isaac Osborne, Ryan Osborne, Logan Necessary and Braedyn Sturgill; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 1 – 3PM at Calvary Worship Center (500 Lucy Road, Kingsport, TN). Services to follow at 4PM with Pastors Larry Bledsoe and Will Dingus of Calvary Worship Center. We will leave in procession to the graveside following the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Brandon Derrick, Hunter Fields, Buck Fields, Chris Necessary, Jason Lawson and Ronnie Derrick.
