Harley Gene Carr, 72, of Bristol, TN, went to the other side of the River on Thursday, May 14th, 2020 with his son by his side.
Gene was born in Bluff City, TN (maybe Bristol hospital not sure) and graduated from East High School. He lived in the area his whole life. Gene was a kind soul who helped anyone he could, loved his family, and enjoyed his bee keeping and farming. He was the Maintenance Supervisor for NHC Healthcare for over 38 years until he retired. He spent his retirement with his family and on the farm. He was loved and will be greatly missed by many. Upon his death he did not suffer but was covered with blessed assurance.
He is preceded in death by, Walter Riley and Viola Margarett Baker Carr; and several brothers.
Left to cherish his memories (and keep his bees) is his wife of 56 years, Peggy; sons, Robbie Carr, Joey Carr and wife Nikki; grandson, Clayton Carr; sisters, Kay and Nola.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday May 17th at Brookside Baptist Church ( 1558 Vance Tank Rd, Bristol, TN 37620) the time is 2pm till 4pm. Gene will then proceed to Crumley Cemetery to be laid to rest.
