Verna Ilene Booher, 71, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from a long term illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and a faithful member of Gardner’s Chapel Church. Verna loved flowers, her children, grandchildren, and animals. She was blessed with meeting her soul mate, Alfred, 53 years ago and spent a lifetime in love.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Geneva McMurray; brother, Lester McMurray; and sister, Shirley Milburn.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alfred Booher; loving mother of son, Junior and wife, Martha Booher; daughters, Beulah and husband, Ross Blankenbeckler, and Sherry and husband, Dave Tittle; grandchildren, Heather and husband, Grant McConnell, Josh and Brianna (fiance) Blankenbeckler, and Jessica Castle; great grandchildren, Blake McConnell and Aiden McConnell; sisters, Mary Barrett and Elsie and husband, Dana Boyer; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN). A funeral ceremony will follow with Pastor Rex McMurray and Pastor Mark Blankenbeckler officiating. Special music provided by the True Faith Singers. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at East Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Junior Booher, Ross Blankenbeckler, Dave Tittle, Josh Blankenbeckler, Grant McConnell and Blake McConnell.
