Alphard Henry Adams, 73, of Kingsport, TN, went home to be with his wife on Friday, June 9, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; daughter, Janie; mother, Rose, father, Bill, brother Grady, and sister, Sissy.
Mr. Adams served in the army until he was injured. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a truck driver and built fences for 30+ years. He played guitar for the Morelock Family, raised 6 kids, 2 grandkids, and 1 great grandchild. He loved to go fishing.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa Nelson, Kathy (Rick)Hickman; 3 sons, Danny Ferguson, Darrell (Tonya) Ferguson, John (Pat) Morelock. Also several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Caregiver granddaughter, Elizabeth and husband Dillon Nelson until the end.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 13th from 5-7 pm. Funeral service will follow at 7pm with Oscar Irvin officiating Mr. Adam’s service.
The family would like to give a special thanks to his Mountain State hospice team. They showed great compassion in our time of need and was there no matter the time.
