Corey DeShawn Robinson, 40, went to be with our great Lord above on Tuesday, August 30, 2016.
He was born and raised in Kingsport, TN and he spent his younger years always helping and caring for others. He had always been a loving and fun person, always smiling, despite what he was going through. As Corey got older, he continued his love for people by relocating to Nashville, TN where he became a great nurse assistant at a major hospital, working in the emergency department.
Corey later returned to Kingsport, TN and spent his time working as he could. He met his wife, Jennifer, and they had two beautiful children, Inacent and Aysha. Jennifer and Corey had been together for 17 years and were married for 6 years and he was a loving husband and father. His hobbies were creating inventions, writing, producing music, fishing and cooking, but most of all, he loved serving the Lord above. Corey never went a day without acknowledging Him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Simon; sister in law, Chelsea Heneger; grandmother, Margaret Leeper; grandfathers, Willard Robinson and Henry Buddy Simon; and uncle, Paul Robinson.
Corey is survived by his wife, Jennifer Robinson; children, Aysha and Inacent Robinson; mothers, Kathy Robinson and Gretta Simon; sister, NaShika Harrison; two nieces; aunts, uncles and several cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 07, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN (423-723-8177)).
