Tommy Daniel Shaffer, 69, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2019 with his family by his side.
Tommy was born in Kingsport, TN on July 27th, 1949. He was a cheerful, strong, good hearted man who dearly loved his family. He was a Master Upholsterer in his own business, TDS Upholstery, he ran for almost 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Judy Shaffer; sons, Chad Shaffer and wife April, Adam Shaffer and wife Diana; daughters, Pamela Thacker and husband Brandon, Jessica Bausell and husband Jacob, Hope Shaffer and fiance Joshua Patrick; eleven grandkids, 2 great grandkids; brother, Bill Shaffer and wife Mary; sisters, Peggy Rice, Barbara Flanagan, Dorothy Hutchins; brother-in-law, Hank Dockery; sister-in-law, Barbara Shaffer; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara Shaffer; son, Aaron Shaffer; father & mother in laws, Rev. Glenn and Alma Dockery; brothers, James “Shorty” Shaffer, Lonnie Shaffer, Paul Carrier, Robert Carrier; sister, Susie Bowser.
A private family viewing will be held.
