Norma Lucille Gardner, 78, of Church Hill, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Kingsport and had been a resident of the area all of her life. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, spending time with her family and friends. She worked in the Indian Path OR as a tech for 19 and a half years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Edgar Fields and Goldie Fields; son, Hubert Wayne Gardner; and brother, Hershel E. Fields.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Stapleton (Church Hill, TN), Rhonda Holder and husband, Tommy (Ft. Blackmore, VA.), and Sandi Gardner (Church Hill, TN); son, Raymond Earl Gardner and wife, Robin (Sneeds Ferry, NC); twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Naomi Slagle and husband, Robert (Church Hill, TN), and Sherry Fields (Kingsport, TN); and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at her home anytime. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The service will follow at 7:00 PM with Reverend Tommy Holder officiating and with Samuel Babb and Jason Gardner assisting. Special music by Chris Holder. Graveside will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Morning Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Gardner, Samuel Babb, Kallum Gardner, Landon Gardner, Robert Slagle, Allen Fields, Manfred Wiedemann and Nolan Wiedemann.
