Martha Sue Mullenix, age 81, of Kingsport, went to be with The Lord on Monday, May 14th, 2018 at her residence after a brief illness. Martha was born and raised in Kingsport. She was of the Baptist faith. Martha enjoyed gardening, cooking, flowers, and being outdoors. She always put someone’s needs before her own.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ethel Bragg; son, Joe Charles Mullenix; brothers, Samuel Bragg, Jerry Bragg; sister, Ernestine Bragg.
Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph Mullenix; beloved son, Tommy Mullenix and fiance Susan Miller (and her children, Brittany, Preston, Casandra, and Corey Miller); beloved daughter, Ramona Dugger (of Kingsport); brother, Joe Bragg and wife Lugene (of Kingsport), Sammy Bragg Jr (of Kingsport); granddaughter, Emily Dugger and fiance Jacob Malone; niece, Kim Rogan (and daughter Amy Kiser); several other nieces and nephews.
The family of Martha Sue Mullenix will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17th, 2018 at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in our chapel with pastor Will Shewey officiating.
Burial will follow in Solomon’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (7659 Lone Star Road, Kingsport, TN). Pallbearers will be family and friends.
