David Joseph Simpson Sr., 67, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 8, 2019.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley J. Simpson (Blakley); son, David J. Simpson Jr.; and grandson, David Scharringhausen.
David is survived by his daughter, Angela Scharringhausen and husband, Todd; sister, Shirley Noel; nephew, Landon Noel and wife and son Jennifer and Evan; aunt, Janice Ball and husband, Wayne; granddaughter, Marina Quillin and husband, Gabriel; and several very close cousins.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Legacy Home Health Care and to caretaker, Janice Cavitt.
He will be buried with his wife at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tennessee on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10:00 am. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard Post 3 and Post 265.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to help with funeral costs.
