Wilma Joyce Browning

Wilma Joyce Browning, 66, went home to be with Lord on Wednesday, January 1, surrounded by family and friends. Wilma was a faithful devout christian, that loved the Lord and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She never met a stranger, and loved anyone she ever talked to. She was a longtime member of Way of Life Baptist Church. Pastor Johnny Gibson was her longtime best friend, and faithful pastor. She always loved to sing her favorite gospel song at church "In the Garden" and bless so many because everyone loved to here her sing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Polly Lane; her husband, William Ben Browning Jr.; daughter, Misty Dawn Browning; brother, Junior Lane; and in-laws, William Ben Browning Sr. and Mary Nina Browning. Wilma is survived by her daughter, Nina Powers; 2 sons, Tim and Daniel Browning; 2 grand sons, Benjamin and Matthew Powers; sisters, Mary (Larry) Stallard, Brenda (Larry) Castle; brothers, Sam Lane, Jerry (Debbie) Lane, Michael (Missy) Lane, Donnie Lane; and sister-in-laws, Mildred (James) McDavid, Lois (George) Young, Betty Johnson, Laura (James) Crawford. The family would like to thank special friend Saprina Harless, for taking care of Wilma and making sure she got the best care in the hospital. A graveside service will be held at East Lawn Cemetery on Friday, January 10th, at 3pm. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
