William “Wild Bill” J. Wagner of Bluff City, Tennessee went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 20th, 2022, after a brief illness with COVID. Bill loved living on the mountain with his dog Sadie. What he enjoyed the most was helping others. He was a quiet man with a generous heart. Bill was born to the late William J. Wagner and Mary L. (Harr) Wagner. He is also preceded by his grandparents, Tom and Mary Harr, Grover and Celestal Wagner; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Left behind to cherish his memories are his brother, Doug Wagner and his wife Angie; sisters, Linda Carrier (Barry), Yvonne Smith (Gary), Sharon Burnette and husband Doug Burnette; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins. Special friends are Cindy Phillips (of thirty years), Robbie Carr (best friend ever and a Godsend to his family), and so many more wonderful friends. We would like to send a special “Thank You” to the doctors and nurses of the ICU Unit of Johnson City Medical Center for the wonderful care he received. Visitation will be held at Brookside Baptist Church (1558 Vance Tank Road, Bristol, Tennessee) from Sunday January 23rd at 2:00 - 3:30 pm. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Crumley Cemetery in Bluff City, Tennessee. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Wagner family.
