Wayne Allen Smith

Wayne Smith, aged 80, of Kingsport, TN, peacefully departed at home Saturday, May 4, 2024 with his son Tyler and wife Gina by his side.
A pillar of his community, Wayne's legacy spans far and wide. He dedicated himself to nurturing young talents as a coach, notably has the record for most wins in girls basketball in Sullivan County, also taking the Colonial Heights team to state. His passion for sports extended to softball, football, and soccer, where he imparted his knowledge and inspired countless athletes.
In addition to his contributions in sports, Wayne was a multifaceted individual. He shared his creativity as an art teacher at Colonial Height Middle School, leaving an indelible mark on his students. Not one to confine himself to a single endeavor, Wayne founded Electron Pure Pools and Electric DJ's. His love of music and dancing brought joy and rhythm to numerous events, from middle school dances to private parties and weddings.
Wayne's impact on those around him was profound, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
