Wanda Reese Ison Wagner, 76, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018. In our lives, there are many who enrich us; many who contribute to our enjoyment of living. Some are dreamers, some are followers and some are doers. Wanda Reese Ison Wagner was a doer and maybe a ‘super doer'. Much like a finely crafted gemstone, Wanda was a woman of many facets. While still in high school, she was a Big Boy car hop, then a waitress. And, because of her relentless drive and determination to do her best at everything she attempted, she quickly was selected to manage the restaurant. Over the years, Wanda taught herself to design and create original clothes, teach sewing, became an accomplished artist in watercolor and oil, designed and created signs, decorated and painted homes and rental cabins. She was a librarian, worked in a factory, owned a carryout and rental properties which she decorated herself. Meeting her for the first time almost always left the person wanting to see her again. This trait and her love of people combined to make her very successful as an Avon, and Jaffra saleswoman. As a bargain hunter at garage and yard sales, which she enjoyed immensely, she was unparalleled. And that passion was not so much about the things she bought, which she did with an eye for the ‘deal', because she gave away most of the items she found. It was finding that one item that was special to her or that she thought would be special to a family member or friend Living such a full life equipped her with hundreds of unique stories which she was always eager to share. However, as much as Wanda enjoyed all her accomplishments, all paled against her love of family. In the fifty-five years of marriage she and her husband, Willie, lived a very busy, but very happy life. The two daughters that came from that union learned from her about living a joyous and productive life. And they have used that knowledge to instill much of her love of living in their children. It's easy to see that throughout her life, Wanda did all she could. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Wagner family.
