Wanda “Christine” Morelock Blankenship courageously finished her earthly journey on Saturday, March 23, 2019. She was an extraordinary lady who epitomized love, grace, hardwork and determination. More than anything, she adored her family and taught us all about unconditional love.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Morelock and Ethel Rachel Roberts Morelock. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Morelock and John Henry Morelock.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy Blankenship Henry and husband, Brian; her beautiful granddaughters whom she adored, Carter McKinley Henry and Lily Madeline Henry; sisters, Nancy Mabe and husband, Kermit, Mary Alice Cross and husband, Paul, and Judy Lawson and husband, Rick; brother, Dave Morelock; and several nieces and nephews.
In consideration of her wishes, Christine’s graveside will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Lone Star Cemetery. All family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family request for memorial contributions be made to Lone Star Cemetery Maintenance Fund, in care of Kathy Charlton, P.O. Box 3444, Kingsport, Tn. 37664.
The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice and especially her nurse, Erica Weatherford. Erica became endeared to our family and we will never forget her kindness and loving care.
