Violet Floretta Lunsford Nuckels, age 81, entered into her Heavenly home on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, after a brief illness.
She was born in Tazewell, Virginia, but had lived most of her life in Church Hill, TN. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her fur baby, “Baby”. She enjoyed her flowers, fried potatoes, sandwiches, homegrown tomatoes and getting dolled up.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Nuckels; her first husband, Bill Hensley; parents; siblings; and her special sister, Betty Joyce Snyder; and beloved grandsons, Chucky and Michael.
She is survived by her children, Chuck Nuckels and wife Pam (Kingsport, TN), Teresa Wilson (Indianapolis, Indiana), Joyce Hensley( Kingsport, TN), Terry Ramey and husband Ivan (Church Hill, TN), Billy Hensley and wife Rita, Gary Hensley and wife Jennifer (both of Kingsport, TN), Anita Waldrup and husband Larry, and Cindy Hughes (both of Indianapolis, IN); special friend, Grace Thompson (Church Hill, Tn); and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive a visitation of friends on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The service is to follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jon Rogers officiating. Burial will follow the service at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family.
