Truman Earnest Hopson

Truman Earnest Hopson, 71, of Gray, TN, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, February 2nd, 2018. Truman was born in Johnson City, TN. He was a Freewill Baptist by faith. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He owned Superior Steam Clean for over 20 years and he also ran a paper route for the Johnson City Press. He leaves behind many friends he made along the way and is loved and missed greatly. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Donald and Hassie Hopson; brothers, Wilburn Hopson, Charles Hopson, and Wayne Hopson; sister, Geraldene Hopson; special nephew, Travis Hefflin. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Pam Hopson; son, Daniel and wife Tina Hopson; daughters, Cindy and Bo Simpson, and Nikki Bardo; grandchildren, Chris, Ashley, Dakota, Noah, Hannah, Abigail, Jaydon, and Isaiah; great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Kinsleigh, and Kohen; brother, Harry and Theresa Hopson; sister, Jewell Tolley; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Trinity Memorial on Monday February 5th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will follow with Pastor Alex Carver and Preacher Noah Simpson officiating. Graveside service will be held at Washington County Memory Gardens on Tuesday February 6th at 11 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Isaiah Hopson, Jaydon Huff, Chris Hefflin, and Eddie Rupert. Pallbearers will be Dakota Simpson, Daniel Hopson, Justin Bryant, Christopher Bardo, Matthew Hopson, and Quentin Gibson. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
