It is with broken hearts we announce Trevor Thomas Pennington, 44, of Coeburn, VA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 29th, 2021. Trevor grew up in Coeburn, VA and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. He was a simple man who always appreciated the little things in life. He made the most of everyday God gave him. There was never a dull moment in his company and his laughter was contagious. His humor could make a room full of people laugh until they cried. When Trevor was a teenager he picked up a guitar and decided he was never going to put it down. He was an exceptional musician and the sound of his guitar will be forever missed. Later in life he became a coal miner until suffering an injury that forced him to retire. He happily spent the rest of his days being the most wonderful stay at home dad. Trevor loved his children more than anything in the world and never let them forget it. He was a wonderful man full of life and loved to give. We could all have learned from his humbleness and kindness. Those who knew him, know how strong his faith was and can rest assured he is Jamming in the sky. Words cannot describe the great loss the world has taken or the wonderful Angel Heaven has gained. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John H. Jones Jr; paternal grandparents, Marie and Erskin Pennington; uncles, Tommy Jones "little Tommy" and Greg Pennington; aunt, Patty Pennington; and a cousin who was more of a brother, Travis Pennington. Left to keep his memory alive is his children, Tia Marie Pennington, Jagger Dylan Pennington, and Jordan Isaiah Pennington; loving parents, Norma and Tommy Pennington; maternal grandmother, Gearldine Hands; uncle, Elmer "Elmo" Jones; aunt, Rosa Salyers and husband David; and many other family members and friends who loved him very much. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday June 2nd from 5pm to 7pm at Trinity Memorial. Service will follow. A private graveside service will be held. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Pennington family.
