Timothy Allen Sumner

Timothy Allen Sumner, 36, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
Timmie was born in Defiance, Ohio, to Myron and Loretta, and moved to northeast Tennessee as a baby. Timmie was a skilled carpenter who enjoyed fishing and rooster fighting. He also liked animals and had two pet macaws, Phoenix and Skylar.
He is preceded in death by his father, Myron Sumner; grandparents, David and Lavada Sumner, Buford and Annamarie Brummitt; as well as several aunts and uncles.
Those left to mourn the loss of Timmie include his mother, Loretta Griffin; step-father, Kenny Griffin; sister, Angel Turbyfill; girlfriend, Rose Tesnear; aunts, Sheila Calopritro, Ohio, Cheryl Gillenwater, Kingsport, TN, Cheryl Dorin, Kingsport, TN; uncles, Roger Brummitt, Ohio, Randy Brummitt, Georgia, Mark Brummitt, Kingsport, TN, Jeff Brummitt, Ohio, Todd Sumner, Knoxville, TN, Danny Sumner, Kingsport, TN, Larry Sumner, Kingsport, TN; nephews, Adian Freeman, Noah Turbyfill, Leland Turbyfill.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, Tennessee, with a funeral service to follow at 12 PM. Graveside committal will be conducted at 1:30 PM at Herman UMC Cemetery, 5395 E. Carters Valley Road, Gate City, Virginia. Pastor Brandi Neal will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Lane, Jeff Brummitt, Lamar Barrier, Corey Lane, Adian Freeman, Larry Lickert, Brian Salmons, Roger Brummitt.
