Thomas Jackson Leon Mayo departed from his body on November 3, 2019 at the young age of 33. Thomas lived life to the fullest; always smiling, laughing, singing and dancing. Anyone fortunate enough to meet Thomas was immediately in awe of his sparkling blue eyes and infectious smile. Thomas’ lively personality and optimistic point of view brightened anyone’s darkest hour. Thomas carried around an aura of light and love for everyone to see. Anytime a song sang by Stevie Nicks came on Thomas immediately began to sing along and dance…knowing every lyric.
Thomas was preceded in death by our Nana (Marilyn Mayo), Memaw (Lucy Boyd), Granny (Dottie Mayo), and aunt Sam Sellers.
Thomas is survived by his life partner, Dylan McConnell; mother, Tonja Mayo; father, David Mayo; siblings, Matthew Campbell, Racheal Mayo, Ashley Mayo, David Mayo, and Joshua Mayo; grandfather, Emmitt Mayo; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends whom all love Thomas very much!
Thomas’ presence will forever be missed, but he will continue to live on through our memories. Join us in remembrance of Thomas for a celebration of such a beautiful being inside and out Thursday, November 7th at Trinity Memorial Centers from 11am until 1pm.
