Thomas "Doug" Craft

May 6, 1964 — March 26, 2017

Thomas "Doug" Craft, 52, of Rogersville, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Doug was born in Bradenton, Florida to the late Chalmer Dean Craft and Betty Noble. Doug was a lifelong Gator fan since birth and he wasn't too shy to let everyone know. Doug enjoyed the simple country life. He enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions on the weekends, mainly for the fun of just spending time with his soulmate riding around. Doug also was a Ham Radio Operator, call sign W4HRX. They raised American Bulldogs for over 25 years and was a judge in the American Bulldog Ring. Doug and his son were best friends, practically inseparable. They both were sportsmen and would spend time out target shooting, going to gun shows, and making ammo together. If you knew Doug, you know he knew food. He was an avid and passionate cook who loved firing up his smoker. He didn't mind telling you how to cook either. Ribs, chicken, and beef were always to be found smoking at his house. He challenged himself to figure out how to make moonshine for the sole purpose of just learning how. His friend helped him build a still for his new hobby. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grand babies and he had many friends over the years. He lived a simple life, but loved in a big way. He is preceded in death by his father, Chalmer Dean Craft; mother, Betty Noble Craft Bosley; step-father, Samuel Bosley; and niece, Samantha Polston. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 27 years, Kelli Craft; daughter, Heather Nichols; son, Ryne and wife Elizabeth Craft; grand babies, Lydia and Angelina; brother, David Craft; sisters, Sara Russo and Wanda Holmes; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and many special life long friends. A memorial service will be held in Florida at a later time. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Craft.
