Theresa Jean Hawkins Rogers

Theresa Hawkins Rogers, 54, of Kingsport, TN, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at UT Medical Center (Knoxville, TN). Theresa was born May 17, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Ralph Boyd Hawkins and Ina Nell King Hawkins. Theresa's life was her grandchildren and family, whom she loved very much. She was also a very creative person who loved to make things and loved all crafts. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Albert King and Ethel Dodson King; paternal grandparents, Emily Hawkins Taylor and Caleb Hawkins; and 2 very special aunts. Survivors of Theresa Hawkins Rogers include her parents, Ralph Boyd Hawkins and Ina Nell King Hawkins (Kingsport, TN); 2 sons, Wesley Rogers and wife Shanna (Kingsport, TN), and Shong Hall and wife April (Church Hill, TN); 4 grandchildren, Clinton Hall, Logan Rogers, Hannah Rogers, Jessica Rogers; brother, Burt Hawkins (Kingsport, TN); 4 sisters, Arlene Brice and husband Allen (Surgoinsville, TN), Rachel Livesay and husband Dewayne (Kingsport, TN), Gale Murray and husband Carl (Blountville, TN), and Rena Christian and husband Tim (Kingsport, TN); significant other, John Spencer (Kingsport, TN); several nieces, nephews, cousin, friends, and neighbors. The family of Theresa Hawkins Rogers will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Trinity Memorial Centers (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660). Friends, family, and neighbors may also visit at other times at the residence of Theresa's mother, Ina Nell Hawkins. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
