Theda Sizemore Jennings, age 78, of Gate City, VA, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 16th, 2018. She was born in Stonega, VA then moved to Gate City, VA where resided most of her life. She was of the Methodist Faith but also attended West End Baptist Church in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was a floor supervisor at Cumberland Glove Factory in Duffield, VA for 27 years. She loved her family dearly and she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ned Sizemore and Callie Mitchell Sizemore; grandson, Dustin Lawson; and sisters, Lily Owens, and Bertha Stidham.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dee Jennings; daughters, Tammy Cradic and husband Glenn, Lorrie Barada and husband Lou, Pam Bishop and husband Jim; son, Hank Jennings and wife Patricia; grandchildren, JD Nickels, Justin Nickels; great grandchildren, Gabriel Reed, Kally Nickels, Liberty Rose Nickels; sisters, Jenaine Harmon, Linda Smith, Kathy Hoskins, Darlene Barnette, Mary Jane Gardner, Sandra Baker, Joy Toney, Patricia Lee; two half brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 20th, 2018 at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Service will follow at 7:00 PM. with John Toney officiating.
Graveside service will be held at Holston View Cemetery on Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Troy Smith, Roger Stidham, JD Nickels, Justin Nickels, Allen Fugate. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Cradic, Cloise Smith, Clay Arnold.
