Terry Eugene Ashley, age 83, of Roan Mountain, TN, went to be with the Lord and his beautiful precious wife on Friday, February, 8, 2019 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Roan Mountain, TN. He was a member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family and he was the former owner of Ashley’s Auto in Roan Mountain, TN.
Terry is preceded in death by his wife, Evangeline Ashley on March 3, 2017; his parents; brothers, Jim Ashley and Tom Ashley; and sister, Louise Cordell.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Hamby and husband, Michael (Roan Mountain, TN), Sandra Pritchard and husband, Randy (Frank, NC), Michelle Perkins and husband, Donnie (Roan Mountain, TN), and Kimberly Hicks (Roan Mountain, TN); grandchildren, Channing Perkins and wife, Jennifer, Dreama Hughes, Marche Hughes, Derek Perkins, Emily Pritchard, Brandon Hamby, Justin Pritchard, Victoria Perkins and Shevon Hamby; great grandchildren, Samuel Hughes, MacKinley Perkins, Gavin Birchfield and Zaden Birchfield; brothers, Chuck Ashley (Roan Mountain, TN), Norman Ashley and wife, Linda (Roan Mountain, TN), Roger Ashley and wife, Louise (Roan Mountain, TN), and J.S. Ashley (Roan Mountain,TN); and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Monday, February 11, 2019, at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church (3405 Gap Creek Road, Hampton, TN 37658). Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM with Rev. Brandon Young officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery in Roan Mountain, TN. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
