Susan Marie Martin

Susan Marie Martin, 78, of Detroit, MI, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Susan, or most lovingly known as Susie, was born in Wooster, OH on October 11, 1946, to Edward Landaw and Margaret Cosgrove (Webber). She attended an all-girls Catholic school throughout her education. As a teenager, she moved and made her home in Detroit, MI.

It is there where she planted her roots and started her family. She lived in the Cass Corridor for much of her twenties until she moved to Southwest Detroit. Susie had multiple careers but was best known for her position as a waitress at Steve's Pizza Island. It is there that she met and made many lifelong friendships. Everyone who was lucky enough to meet her, loved her immediately. Friendships that she viewed more like family than friends.

Preceded by her in death are her parents Edward Landaw and Margaret Cosgrove (Webber), her loving son Richard Martin and her nephew Edward Landaw Jr.

She leaves behind her only brother, Edward Landaw Sr, her children, Kimberly (Terry England), Margaret Love, and Robert Martin (Loree). Her 9 grandchildren, Jesse, Rachel, Heather, Christine, Tara, Eric, Krista, Jordan and Royce. And an abundance of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her grandkids were her everything.

The service is to be held at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home at 2:00pm on Monday, April 14, 2025.
