Sheryl Denise Gardner

September 28, 1965 — November 8, 2021

Sheryl Denise Gardner, age 56, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on November 8th, 2021 at her home. Sheryl was born in Richmond, VA in 1965. She later moved from Downey, CA to Kingsport, TN where she raised her children and furthered her education by attending Northeast State Community College. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Betty Holloway. Sheryl is survived by her son, Randy and Ashley Gardner; daughters, Christina Gardner, Melanie Gardner, and Stephanie Gardner; grandchildren, Frankie Kiser, Connor Sikkema, Lucas Kelly, Hannah Gardner; brother, Michael Holloway; and dear friend, Melissa Russell. Sheryl loved the beach and the ocean as they reminded her of when she lived in California. She lost her mother to illness as a child and will be overjoyed to meet her again in Heaven! Sheryl was a writer and had many journals, usually words of encouragement to the people she loved and scriptures she enjoyed from her bible. She loved going to Church and had a strong trust in the Lord. She was overjoyed to spend time playing with all her grandchildren and loved them the most! She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, painting, and visiting with family and friends. Sheryl was empathetic to a fault and always had time to lend an ear to anyone who needed to talk or needed encouragement. She could make friends with anyone and will be missed by many. She always wanted the best for everyone she met and prayed constantly for good things to happen to them. She had lifelong issues associated with her Diabetes that caused her many disabilities and challenges later in life. She faced it all with the courage of a lion and is now fully restored by the grace of God! She'll continue her journey walking down streets of gold and having that talk with her mother she's waited 40 years for. The love and light she brought into the world will shine on forever as every action has a ripple effect across the universe and she'll live on through our lives and actions as she helped shape who we become and what we consider important. “For My Ally Is The Force. And A Powerful Ally It Is. Life Creates It, Makes It Grow. Its Energy Surrounds Us And Binds Us. Luminous Beings Are We, Not This Crude Matter.” "No ones ever really gone." Services will be private, and no public service is planned at this time. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Gardner family during this time and is assisting with arrangements.
