Sherry Lynn Bell

May 22, 1964 - July 16, 2018

Sherry Lynn Bell, 54, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Monday, July 16th, 2018 with her family by her side. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer and ultimately received her calling home.

She was lifelong resident of the Tri-cities region, born in Johnson city and raised in Colonial Heights.

Sherry was a larger than life personality that was often described by those that loved her as generous, kind, selfless and most of all loving.

Her life revolved around her family and friends. She was an avid sports fan and athlete. She attended Colonial Heights Junior High School, Sullivan South High School and attended King College on a volleyball and Basketball scholarship. She will always be remembered for her athleticism, love for family and friends, and her deep pride in UT Sports especially her one and only Lady Vols Basketball. She also enjoyed driving her jeep, camping, grilling, boating, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by parents, Dan Bell and Pat Bell; special aunt, Iva Dale Bacon.

She is survived by her soulmate and wife, Shelly Bell; daughters, Madison Horn and Chenoa Cox; son, Jason Horn Jr.; mother and father in law, Fred and Linda Richards; brothers, Danny Bell and wife Kimberley, Andrew Bell; brother in law, Chris Richards and wife Jesalyn; nieces, Samantha Bell and Morgan Richards; nephews, Brandon Hernandez and Christopher Richards. She is also survived by a very special group of cousins, Connie Sproles, Debbie Talley, and Terry Martin; a multitude of family and friends that are family at heart.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday July 20th from 5pm to 7pm at Trinity Memorial. Please help us honor her love of UT by coming in UT apparel (no gator fans please). Life Celebration will follow with Minister Brenda Jenkins officiating.
