Shelia Ann Hood

Shelia Ann Hood, 74, of Kingsport, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 17, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Shelia was born in Kingsport to James B. Spivey, Sr. and Alice Gott Spivey. She spent her life devoted to the Lord, her family, and those she loved. Shelia was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She was known for her deep compassion, generosity, and unwavering faith. She had a special love for babies and cared for countless children throughout her life. Shelia was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.

Shelia is preceded in death by her father, James B. Spivey, Sr.; and her brother, James B. Spivey, Jr.

Those left to cherish Shelia's memory are her mother, Alice Spivey; her devoted husband of 58 years, Roy W. Hood; her daughters, Kristi Davis, Kerri (David) Cox, Kelli (Rodney) Roberts, and Gloria (Justin) Wilson; and her grandchildren, Adam Hood, Jordyn Roberts, Tenea Roberts, Tyler Cox, Kassidy Wilson, Jonah Cox, Lane Shipley, Caleb Davis, Paxton Wilson, and Francesca Wilson. Shelia also leaves behind the joys of her life, her great-grandchildren, Hutson Frost, Isaiah Cox, Elijah Cox, and James Colton Dunbar; her sister, Debbie (Sam) Quillen; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; along with many special nieces and nephews.

Per Shelia's wishes, there will not be a funeral service.
