Sharon Shevon Arnett

Sharon Arnett (Tot), 71, of Pikeville, TN, passed over to Glory on Friday, April 18th 2025 at Lakebridge Nursing Facility in Johnson City, TN, with family by her side. Born to the late Earl Sammons and Nellie Grace Sammons (Brock) on June 23rd 1953, in Pikeville, TN, she was so tiny that she was affectionately given the name "Tot". Raised by her grandmother, Aretta Pope (Brock/Granny Pet), she had a strong love for church and singing gospel music. Being the 12th addition to Granny Pet's loving home, she gained her love of family, togetherness and her unwavering faith in God. She was an avid member of Wheeler Addition Church of God in Pikeville. Sharon (Tot) was a 1971 graduate of Bledsoe County High School. Soon after, she married and had her two girls, Drena and Starla, for whom she had a loving bond with. Sharon had a passion for arts and crafts, thrift shopping, and spending time in church and with family and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Sammons and Nellie Grace Sammons (Brock); her grandmother, Aretta Pope (Brock/ Granny Pet); her sisters, Rebecca (Becky) Sammons, Alice Sammons, Evelyn Doris Sammons, and twins, Earl Lee and Earlene Sammons.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Drena Arnett-Gilliam and Starla Arnett- Angel; her grandchildren, Jordan Batson, Josiah Angel, Nevaeh Gilliam, Jeremiah Alexander and Zechariah Arnett; siblings, Angelina (Jackie Jo) Frazier, Earlene Goins, Don Goins, and Purnell Roberts; a special aunt, Bess Bridgeman; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Tot was a shining light in the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her sassiness and humor helped those around her to see the joys in life. She will be sorely missed by all.

The Celebration Of Life Services will be held at Pikeville Chapel Methodist Church. Date and time will be announced at a later date .
