Ruth F. Meade, age 82 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 7, 2013. She was born in Fordtown, Tennessee and resided all of her life in Kingsport. She retired from Indian Path Medical Center following over thirty years of service. She enjoyed art, antiques and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Delphia Fair; husband, Paul Meade; and daughter Paula Kendrick. Surviving are her daughters, Sharon Breeding and husband Samuel, Susan Penley, and Kim Fales and husband Jonathon, all of Kingsport; three brothers, James Fair, Elbert Fair, and Gary Fair; five grandchildren Adrienne Pilkenton, Andrew Douthat, Lauren Penley, Graham Fales, Garrett Kendrick, and Blake Penley; two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Bella. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Trinity Memorial Centers. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 10, 2013 in the Hite Family Cemetery with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity Memorial Centers no later than 1:00pm to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Graham Fales, Andrew Douthat, Garrett Kendrick, Josh Pilkenton, Andrew Edwards, and Tyler Edwards. Family and friends are invited to visit the home of Kim Fales following the graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Meade to the Alzheimers Association of Eastern Tennessee, 200 Prosperity Drive, Knoxville, TN 37923.
