Rufus Mack Godsey

Rufus Mack (R.M.) Godsey, 84, passed away on February, 22nd, 2023 at his home in Piney Flats, TN. He was born, on April 25th, 1938 in Piney Flats, and was a graduate of Mary Hughes High School Class of 1956. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Quebecor Printing after 38 years. In addition, he was a farmer who loved his land and animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherwood and Nelle Godsey; grandson, Brandon Scott Kilby.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Williams Sexton Godsey; his daughters, Lorri Godsey Carver (Ronnie); Laura Sexton Kilby (Scott); son, David Landon Sexton (Mindy); grandsons, Matthew Carver and Connor Sexton (U.S. Navy); granddaughter, Makenna Sexton; great-grandson, Chevy Carver; and great-granddaughter, Paislee McDonald; sister, Ruth Milhorn (Butch); niece, Leslie Morelock (Steven); nephew, Jeff Milhorn (Elizabeth); great-nephews, Eli and Manny Milhorn; as well as many extended family members, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Godsey requests to be cremated with his ashes to be strewn on his farm. No formal services will be held.
