Roy Ernest "Ernie" White

Roy Ernest (Ernie) White, 63, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. He attended Lynn View High school. He was a member of Bethel Apostolic Church. Ernie was a musician. He had played music with Chance Brothers, Passenger, Benny Wilson and Cross Country. He enjoyed westerns. Ernie is preceded in death by his father, JB White; brother, Scotty White; maternal grandparents, Clinton and Mattie Fields; paternal grandparents, Paris and Isabelle White. He is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Winegar and husband Hank, Sara Pierson and husband Chris; sons, Lynn White and wife Kristy, Steve White and wife Tabitha, Eric Hall and wife Brittany; mother, Ella Justus and husband Curtis; sisters, Anita Hensley and husband Allen, and Karen Darnell and husband Steve; brother, Randy White and wife Donna; special uncle, Wayne Fields and wife Lona; stepmother, Betty White; and a host of nieces and nephew; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and special friend, Teresa Farris. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Bethel Apostolic Church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The service is to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Garland Tipton and Reverend Travis Courtney officiating. Graveside will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Depew's Chapel Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Paul Stanley, Joseph Darnell, Jacob Darnell, Hank Winegar, Chris Pierson and Blake O'Quinn. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Darnell and Justin White.
