Roxanne Watkins

March 14, 1974 — January 30, 2021

Roxanne Lynne Watkins, 46, of Blountville, TN, lost her battle to cancer and went home to be with the Lord and the love of her life (Johnny) on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey. Roxie loved her family more than anything. She loved being a “GiGi.” Roxie was a hairdresser in the tri-cities area for over 20 years and she was very passionate about it. Her children believe that she was made to be their mother. Throughout her illness, she never lost her faith. Everyday her love and belief in the Lord got stronger. She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny James Watkins; parents Lawerence Stevens Brown and Mary Ellen Pohlig Snodgrass; her brother Walter Eugene Snodgrass Jr. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Stefanie Bowie and husband David; her children Johnny Brown Watkins, Robert James Watkins and wife Amanda, Braxton Isiah White, Secret Sierra White and fiance Shombae, Matthew Lawerence Watkins, and Maddilynn Nevaeh Watkins; two nephews Addam Stevens Bowie and wife Anna, and Robert Edgar Cumbow; and several other nieces and nephews who she loved very much; great nephew David Stevens Bowie (Ziggy); grandchildren Dallas Brown Watkins, Isiah Lincoln White, Jaime Isiah Sykes; and many clients who became her family throughout the years. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at Cassidy United Methodist Church at 2pm with Pastor Tom Hancock officiating the service. Address to the church is 5801 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, Tennessee, 37664 A live stream of Roxies celebration will be available on the Cassidys United Methodist Church Facebook page for those not able to attend. Masks and social distancing will be required for attendance. Per Roxies request, she did not want black wore to her celebration. Roxanne and her family would like to thank Wheelers United Methodist Church for all their love, support, and prayers, without them they could not have made it through this difficult time. Along with Avalon Hospice for the kindness and support they provided. In lieu of flowers Roxie requested donations be made to Childrens Miracle Network. “Without them, I would not have my babies” - Roxanne Lynne Watkins Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Watkins family.
