Roswitha "Rose" Franziska Schultz, 68, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 surrounded by her family. Rose was born in 1950 in Berlin, Germany. Her father, Charles Davidson, was stationed overseas where he met her mother Ingeburg. Around the age of 9 they moved back to the states. Growing up she enjoyed taking care of her three sisters. Rose was saved by her Lord when she was younger. The passion in her heart for God never left her whole life. She enjoyed being out in nature and taking in God's beautiful creation. Rose enjoyed reading her bible, discussing God with strangers whenever she could, and listening to hymns. She never met a stranger, always had joy in her heart, and was loved by so many. She enjoyed spending time discussing the bible with her husband and learning new things. Rose drove trucks for over 30 years and found joy in traveling the country and enjoyed her co-workers. After she married her husband Gerald they started driving together. They found joy in spending time on the road and seeing the country. Rose was kind, caring, loving soul who did what she could for others. She was selfless and a good homemaker. Who the better cook in the house was is still up for debate. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and loved her church family. Even when she became sick she had a positive attitude, praised the Lord, and fought hard. She will be greatly missed by so many. The family will receive friends on June 4th from 5pm to 6pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church. A Celebration of her Life will follow at 6pm with David Powers officiating. Everyone is invited to fellowship with food and shared memories after the service in the fellowship hall. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ingeburg Davidson; brother, Charley Davidson; sisters, Barbie Davidson Sims and Inge Davidson. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Schultz; daughters, Marie Schautz, Shannon Servin and husband Silvano, and Angie Whitney and husband Rob; grandchildren, Cassandra, Stephie, Bradley, Sara, and Justin; great grandchild, Mia Grace; father, Charles Davidson; brother, Doug Boerschinger; sisters, Lisa, Inga, and Alice; and best friend of 20 years, Patsye Massey. In closing, here are two verses she wanted to share. "A word fitly spoken is like apples of Gold in pictures of Silver" Proverbs 25:11. "Be still and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Schultz family.
