Rosie Johnson, 78, of Kingsport, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on the evening of Saturday, January 26, 2019. Born July 14, 1941 in Waco, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Julian Rodriquez and Ella Diaz. She was a member of Kingsport First Assembly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mae Cretsinger. Survivors include one daughter Juli Keim and son in-law, Robert of Shelby, NC. Brother, Manuel Rodriquez and sister-in-law, Lou of McKinney, Texas, Nephew, Kendal Thomas and wife, Jennifer and children, Jacob and Jilynne, Niece, Kimberly Wilson and children, Daniel, Brendan, and Christopher. She is also survived by her "adopted" daughter Lora McClure, who ensured she had her groceries purchased, computer devices set up, and Bojangles gravy and biscuits available for breakfast. She is also survived by many fellow church members, friends of old and new acquaintance and neighbors from the Finley Villa Senior Apartments, where she spent many wonderful years with friends Evelyn Crawford and Shelby McClure. She loved each and every one of you. Special friends who watched out for her and spent precious time with Rosie are the entire Crawford family. Each member of this family are special folk to Rosie and daughter Juli. Rosie never met a cat she did not like and the warm feeling was reciprocated by all felines who met her. The Celebration of Life service will be 12:00PM until 2:00PM Saturday, March 16 at the Model City Event Center, 206 Commerce Street, Kingsport, TN 37660. Pastor Paul Wright will deliver the message. After the Pastor's remarks, a reception with light finger foods will be offered. Many of Rosie's photos will be available for viewing as well as some of her prized possessions, which will not surprise many.
