Roger Wayne Puckett

Roger Wayne Puckett, 53, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with The Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Roger was a wonderful husband, father, and son. He loved to spend time fishing with his girls, and was devoted to his 2 cats "Punk" and "Tessa" and dog "Buzz". Roger grew up in Ohio and was a lifelong Ohio State "Buckeyes" fan. He always had a smile on his face no matter the situation, and was a master of the "dad joke". He was also a cook and a bit of a trouble maker. He is preceded in death by his father, Gilmer Edward Puckett; infant sister, Susan Pearly Puckett; grandparents, Susie Gammons and Fred Mays Sr., Henry Dawson Puckett and Willie Pearly. Roger is survived by his wife of 15 years, Brenda Puckett; children, Breanna Nicole Puckett, Brianna Shai Morris, Samantha Lynn Morris, and Pheonix Renee Puckett; mother, Birdie Sue Puckett; brothers, Gilmer Edward Puckett Jr., Hubert Allen Puckett, Joseph Glen Puckett, Frederick Henry Puckett; sister, Rita Fay Gibson; along with several nieces and nephews. A service will be held at 1pm Friday Feb, 7 at Victory Tabernacle Pentecostal Church (459 Old Beasonwell Road Kingsport, TN) Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) will be serving the family.
