Rodney Dale Bumgardner

Rodney Dale Bumgardner, 68, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024.

Dale was born in 1956 in Gastonia, North Carolina, and resided in NC for most of his life. He graduated from Hunter Huss High School and later from Gaston College. Dale devoted his career to piping design, specializing in power plants.

Dale was known for his sense of humor and his love for camping and the mountains. For years, he enjoyed spending time on his property in Galax, where he had a cabin and spent countless hours camping, hiking, and stream fishing. He was a wonderful husband and a great friend to many.

Dale was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Virginia Bumgardner. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Tracey; his brothers, Dean Bumgardner and wife Carol, Dirk Bumgardner and wife Debbie; his niece, Tonya Frasier; his nephew, Daniel Bumgardner and wife Molly; and several great-nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 28th, at Unity Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
