Robert David Thompson, Jr., 72, passed away on Monday, March 07, 2016. Robert lived in Church Hill, TN his whole life. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and country and gospel music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ella Thompson; son, Michael Thompson; and sister, Christine Christian. He is survived by his son, Ray and wife, Christal Thompson of Elizabethton, TN; granddaughters, Sarah and Katie Thompson; and sister, Mattie Belle Hawk of Pennington Gap, VA. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 12:30-2:00pm at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3pm at Ross Campground Cemetery (Ross Campground Road, Kingsport, TN).
