Rickie Glen Bear, Sr.

Ricky Glen Bear, Sr., 49, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Pinkie Bear; sisters, Debbie Bear and Dorothy Johnson; brother, Eugene Bear; and special niece, Kelly Palmer. He is survived by his sons, Ricky Bear, Jr. and wife, Alexis (Blountville, TN) and Zac Bear (Church Hill, TN); grandson, Henry Beurny Bear (Blountville, TN); sisters, Rita Palmer, Loa Bear, Ruthie Trinkle, Sally Barnes and Sylvia Ritchie and husband, Allen, (Elizabethton, TN); brother, Clayton Bear (Blountville, TN); and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Shades of Grace Church (313 East Sullivan Street, Kingsport, TN) with Pastor Will Shewey officiating.
