Rickey Lee Lane

April 15, 1958 — April 17, 2024

Rick Lane went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side. Born on April 15, 1958, to Carl and Sue Lane, Rick's journey through life was marked by deep faith and devotion to his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Lane.

He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Cathy Lane; children, Darhonda Lane, Jeremiah Lane and his wife Megan, and Leshia Nichols with her spouse Courtney; grandchildren Logan Lane and his fiancée Jenna Malone, Braelyn, Brandyn, Brooklyn, Bricyn, Adrianna Lane-Nichols, and Taygen Nichols; along with great-grandchildren Levi and Elaia Bea Lane; mother, Sue Lane; three sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Known affectionately as "Pappy," Rick was a cherished husband, father, and grandfather. He bestowed unique nicknames upon each of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom benefited from his boundless love and kindness. An avid lover of the outdoors, Rick relished fishing, hunting, and tending to his honey bees, passions that were intertwined with his lifelong dedication to Christianity. As a respected deacon at Weber City Church of God, Rick's faith was integral to his life, constantly inspiring him to share the love of God and witness to others.

Rick's passing is a profound loss to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit of generosity and compassion will be profoundly missed, yet his legacy will continue to inspire those he touched.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Angie, Diane, Delonta, and the entire hospice team for their compassionate care.

Military honors will be provided at Mountain Home National Cemetery with American Legion Hammonds Post 3 / Gate City 265 officiating to be held on Tuesday, April 23rd at 3:00 pm.
