Reverend Jimmy L. Kilgore

Reverend Jimmy L. Kilgore, 71, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 20th, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, TN. He was a maintenance supervisor for Eastman for 33 years. He attended Freedom Baptist Church. He loved preaching the gospel and telling people about the Lord. Loved his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Katherine; youngest brother, Nicky Kilgore. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda M. Kilgore; daughter, Sherri Rogers and husband Brian (Church Hill,TN); son, Brandon Kilgore and wife Chasity (Kingsport,TN); five grandchildren, Mathew Rogers and wife Vivian, Andrew Rogers, Keegan Kilgore, Sarah Rogers, Kai Kilgore; two great grandchildren, Levi Williams, and Noah Rogers; brothers, Lewis Kilgore and wife Ada (Mt Carmel, TN), Tommy Kilgore and wife Sandra (Kingsport,TN). Family will receive friends on Wednesday August 22nd, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at Freedom Baptist Church (1536 Independence Ave, Mt Carmel, TN 37645) Service at 7pm with Reverend Andy Sensabaugh and Revered James Byrd. Military graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Thursday August 23rd, 2018 with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 performing military rites at Morrison Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
