Randy Lynn Burk

Randy Lynn Burk, 56, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Randy was born in Kingsport, and attended Sullivan West High School. He joined the Army at the age of 18, and was stationed in Hawaii. He was very proud of his career in the military. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. Randy was someone who never met a stranger. His world revolved around his children, as well as a passion for his horse “Ginger”. He loved being a father figure to other children. He was a foreman for Asplundh Tree Experts, and he also worked for Kingsport Foundry for many years. Randy was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and horse back riding. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudy “Sandy” Burk and Eloise Crawford; his sister, Lucy Burk; grandmother, Lillie Marshall Baker; mother-in-law, Henrietta Downs. He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Crystal Burk; his sons, Cody and Tyler; daughters, Amber and Summer; brothers, Rick Burk and wife Beth, Roger Burk and wife, Brent Crawford, and Bryant Crawford; he had several uncles, aunts and cousins, and also many friends. Visitation will be held for family and friends at Trinity Memorial Centers from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday October 14th. Service will follow with Pastor Johnny Gibson officiating. Graveside service will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Monday, Oct 15th at 1:00 with military rites provided by the American Legion Hammond Post 3/Gate City 265. Pallbearers will be Cody Burk, Rick Burk, Brent Crawford, Bryant Crawford, Myron Marshall and Ronnie Marshall. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Crawford, Kevin Lawson, Chris Frazier, Denver Bernard and Tyler Burk. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
