Randall Lee Jones

April 1, 1952 — July 17, 2021

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Randall Lee Jones, age 69, after a brief illness on Saturday, July 17th, 2021. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 26 years, Kimberly Jones; children, Tina Bowman, Kristy Larkins (Jason), and Ryan Jones; mother, Bernice Jones; brother, Rick Jones(Leona); grandchildren, Chase Neeley, Dustin Larkins, Marissa Jones, Karen Larkins, Nick Jones, Kason Jones, and Blakely Jones; great-grandson, Jaxton Neeley; and many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Randall is preceded by his first wife of 20 years, Karen Minnick Jones; father, Roy Lee Jones; and granddaughter, Brittany Ratliff. Randall graduated from Lynn View High School in 1971 and retired from Quebecor World in 2004. He was the kindest man with a heart of gold. He coached girls' softball and soccer teams. He was very much loved by his players. He was very involved with the Optimist Club in his younger days, and especially loved running the haunted house each Halloween. He loved his family foremost, his pets, especially Fancy, parrots, fast cars, woodworking, camping at Warriors Path, and fixing anything and everything. There was nothing that he could not fix or rig up. In his later years, Randall was an officer at the Masonic Lodge,#688, and held the position of Tiler since 2014. The Masonic Lodge was his home away from home, and he was so proud to be a part of such a wonderful organization. A Celebration of Randall's life will be held Friday, July 23rd, from 6-8, at the Masonic Lodge in Kingsport, TN. His interment will be held in a private ceremony at Oak Hill. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Jones family.
