Ramona Reed

Ramona “Mona” Curtis Reed, 57, of Gate City, VA, went to be with the Lord peacefully, in her home on July 2nd, 2020 surrounded by her family. Ramona loved to plant flowers. She also loved to feed and watch birds, especially hummingbirds. Ramona loved her horse Thunder more than anything. She was of Apostolic Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents James Conley Reed and Gloria Jean McMurray; her grandparents Ward and Rosiemary McMurray; her brother Trevor Lynn Reed; sister Tammy Loraine Smith; and her nephew Ryan Lynn Reed. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Crystal Hammonds (Brad); MiMis girl and whole world, Bryleigh; brother Randy Reed (Lisa); nieces and nephews Brandon Reed, Rachel Reed, Cody Smith (Jessica), Justin Reed, Hailey Smith, Waylon Smith, Megan Reed, Korah Mullins, and Killian Reed; and aunts and uncles Peggy Ball (Frosty), Rosa Lee Ervin (Harland), Jane Smith (Bill), Stella Doutt, Ronnie McMurray (Teddi), Jackie McMurray (Karen), Fred McMurray (Joyce); special friends, Tina, Judy, and Ladonna; and life long friend, Tim Curtis. Pallbearers include Brad Hammonds, Brandon Reed, Cody Smith, Justin Reed, Tim Curtis, Tim Hensley, and Chad McMurray. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Reed and Glenn Salyers.
