Qingyong Lang

Qingyong Lang, aged 68, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in Kingsport, Tennessee, with his beloved wife Hang Lei by his side.

Dr. Lang was born on August 14, 1955, in Shandong Province, China. In his early years, he worked diligently on a farm and endured the hardships of the Cultural Revolution, yet he remained steadfast in his pursuit of higher education. In 1993, he began his graduate studies at Florida International University, and in 1999, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Idaho. He then spent several years conducting research at the International Nutrition Laboratory in Montana. Since settling in Kingsport in 2008, Dr. Lang had been diligently working at Eastman Chemical Company and was also an active member and leader in the Tri-Cities Chinese community.

Dr. Lang's life was filled with challenges and obstacles but he found solace and faith in Jesus Christ after the passing of his first wife in 1998. We are deeply comforted knowing that he has found eternal peace in heaven, reunited with his loved ones and Christ.

His life was marked by dedication, hard work, and remarkable achievements. As a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he provided unwavering care and support to his family. In his professional life, he was highly respected, and his colleagues praised his diligence, responsibility, and expertise. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in the community as an invaluable member and leader, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

Dr. Lang is survived by his loving wife Hang Lei, his eldest daughter and her husband, Lang and Judd Lemmon, and his cherished grandsons, Jaxon and Beaumont Lemmon. He is also survived by his three other daughters, Sarah Y. Lang, Klaire Lang, and Kaylah J. Lang, as well as numerous loyal friends who are deeply mourning his loss。

A memorial service for Dr. Lang will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Christ Fellowship Church, located at 260 Victory Ln, Kingsport TN 37660. Friends and family are invited to attend.

We will deeply miss Dr. Lang's kindness, love, and generosity that he shared with his family, friends and the community. His life has had a profound impact on many, and his passing brings us immense sorrow.

During this difficult time, we can find comfort in the words of Psalm 23:4, which he often referred to: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

郎庆勇，享年68岁，于2024年7月14日星期日在田纳西州金斯波特市安详离世，身边有他深爱的妻子雷航陪伴。

郎博士于1955年8月14日出生于中国山东省。早年，他在农场辛勤劳作，经历了文化大革命的艰难岁月，但始终坚持不懈，追求更高的教育。1993年，他在佛罗里达国际大学开始攻读研究生学位，并于1999年在爱达荷大学获得博士学位，随后在美国蒙大拿州国际营养实验室从事研发工作多年。自2008年定居Kingsport以来，郎博士一直在伊士曼化工公司勤奋工作，同时也是三城华人社区的积极成员和表率。

郎博士的一生充满挑战和坎坷。在1998年前妻去世后，他信主耶稣，找到了安慰和信仰。我们为他深感欣慰，他已在天堂找到了永恒的安宁，与他所爱的逝去的亲人们和基督永远团聚。

他的一生充满了奉献、奋斗和令人尊敬的成就。作为慈爱的丈夫、父亲和祖父，他为家人提供了无微不至的关怀和支持。在工作中，他备受尊敬，同事们都赞誉他的努力、责任心和专业能力。此外，他在三城社区中积极参与志愿活动，照顾新成员，奉献了热情与能量。
