Priscilla Darlene Carr Gulley, 67, of Kingsport, TN, departed this life in the arms of God for her heavenly home on July 29, 2024.

Darlene was a born again, devoted Christian and member of the Riverside Ave. Baptist Church in Kingsport. Darlene was a dedicated and loving mother, a beautiful person, genuine in her grace, gentle in her spirit and honest in her love. Darlene attended Sullivan Central High School for two years and graduated from Tri Cities Christian Schools (class of 1975), she then attended Bob Jones University for one year. Darlene retired from the Kingsport Public Library after 37 dedicated years of service due to her declining health.

Darlene was preceded in death by her twin infants; sister, Tammy Carr; brother, Eddie Carr; parents, Ralph and Orba Carr; and several other family members.

She is survived by her son and miracle baby, Carl Delbert Gulley Jr; sister, Lisa Carr; brother, Wayne (Tammie); niece, Kamitra Alexander (Kit); nephews, Josh Carr, Jeremy Carr (Kristie), Weston Carr, Brian Carr (Lynsey), and Adam Carr; sister-in-law, Joy Carr Green (Troy); special friend, neighbor and caregiver, Judy Stallard; grand nieces, Jaylin and Emmi; grand nephews, Maddox, Ethan, Jaxson and Caydence; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

An extra special thank you to all of our friends and family for kind words and support.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
